Zoom: Managing Spam on your Zoom Phone/Number

User guide for Zoom Phone Spam

How to mark an incoming call as spam or block the number from the Zoom app

  1. Sign in to your Zoom app.
  2. Click the Phone tab.
  3. Click the History tab.
  4. Hover your mouse over the phone number you are looking for.
  5. To the right of the number, click the ellipsis , then click Block Number, and select one of the following options:
    • Spam calls: The phone number will be marked as Spam and blocked and submitted to your admin to be marked as spam for your organization.
    • Other reasons: The phone number will be blocked only for you.
  6. In the dialog box that appears, click Block to confirm.
    The selected above option will be marked on each of your new incoming calls against that phone number.

How to mark an incoming call as spam or block the number from the Zoom web portal

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Phone.
  3. Click the History tab.
  4. (Optional) Select the date range for when the voicemail was received.
  5. In the search box, enter the name, extension, or phone number you are looking for.
  6. Identify the phone number, on the far right, click the ellipsis , then click one of the following options:
    • Block As Spam: The phone number will be submitted to your admin to be marked as spam for your organization.
    • Block for Other Reason: The phone number will be blocked only for you.
  7. In the dialog box that appears, click Block to confirm.
    The selected above option will be marked on each of your new incoming calls against that phone number.
  8. (Optional) On the top right, click the Type dropdown arrow , then select SpamMaybe Spam, or Block for Other Reasons to filter your spam.

How to mark a voicemail as spam or block the number from the Zoom app

  1. Sign in to your Zoom app.
  2. Click the Phone tab.
  3. Click the Voicemail tab.
  4. To the right of the phone number you are looking for, click the ellipsis .
  5. Click Block Caller then select one of the following options:
    • Spam Calls: The phone number will be marked as spam and blocked and submitted to your admin to be marked as Spam for your organization.
    • Other Reasons: The phone number will be marked as spam for you.
  6. In the dialog box that appears, click Block to confirm.
    The selected above option will be marked on the voicemail and any future voicemails or calls against that phone number.

How to mark a voicemail as spam or block the number from the Zoom web portal

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Phone.
  3. Click the Voicemail tab.
  4. (Optional) Select the date range for when the voicemail was received.
  5. In the search box, enter the name, extension, or phone number you are looking for.
  6. (Optional) Select Automatically delete incoming spam voicemail, to delete spam automatically.
  7. To the right of the phone number, click the ellipsis , then click one of the following options:
    • Block As Spam: The phone number will be submitted to your admin to be marked as Spam for your organization.
    • Block for Other Reason: The phone number will be marked as Spam for you.
  8. In the dialog box that appears, click Block to confirm.
    The selected above option will be marked on the call and each of your new incoming calls against that phone number.
  9. (Optional) On the top right, click the Type drop-down arrow , then select SpamMaybe Spam, or Block for Other Reasons to filter your spam.
